Captain Douglas Lloyd Bradt - An Airman's Story


Captain Douglas Lloyd Bradt was born on June 29, 1961, in Houston Texas.  He graduated from Clear Lake High School before attending Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.  He had always wanted to be a pilot.  Captain Bradt enlisted in the US Air Force in 1984.

He was assigned to the 366th Fighter Wing and flew the EF-111 Raven. He served at many domestic posts before deploying to Saudi Arabia in January 1991, in response to Desert Storm/Desert Shield and the Gulf War. 

On February 14, 1991, Captain Douglas L Bradt died during his service after his EF-111 crashed after taking missle fire from an Iraqi plane.

He rests at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
