Sergeant Larry Gene Hogan
Born July 17, 1957 - Died January 1, 1991

 Sergeant Larry Gene Hogan was born on July 17, 1957, in Tuskegee, Macon County, Alabama.

He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps on June 8, 1978, and was trained as a small arms technician. During his service, he was assigned to the USS Jason.

In December 1990, Sergeant Hogan deployed aboard USS Jason to the Persian Gulf in response to the troop buildup for Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm during the Gulf War.

On January 7, 1991, Sergeant Larry Gene Hogan died during his service as the result of a gunshot wound. He is laid to rest at Good Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Equity, Alabama.

He served his country for more than twelve years, including during the Gulf War.
