Specialist Thomas Gerald Stone was born on June 26, 1970, in Jamestown, New York. A proud Jamestown High School graduate, he was known for his dedication both in the classroom and on the wrestling mat, where he competed for the school’s team.

Shortly after graduating from high school, Stone enlisted in the United States Army Reserves on November 29, 1989, answering the call to serve his country amid growing global uncertainty.

In February 1991, Specialist Stone deployed to the Persian Gulf with the 14th Quartermaster Unit in support of Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm during the Gulf War. On February 25, 1991, he was killed while in service when a SCUD missile struck his barracks.

Specialist Thomas Gerald Stone gave his life in service to his nation. He is laid to rest at Pine Hill Cemetery in Falconer, New York.
